We are incredibly grateful to the Hendricks Family Foundation for their generous donation towards the debris management for residents in the Town of Rock. Your support is making a significant difference in our community’s recovery efforts.
Our last volunteer day was a great success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing volunteers. We are already working on organizing the next one, and we encourage everyone to join us in continuing this important work. There is still so much to be done, and every bit of help counts! For the next engagement, the hopes is to have rented equipment and experienced operators. This, again, is still a work in progress. Check this page often for updates.
While these efforts may not completely clean up all the debris in the town, we recognize that many residents are in situations where they lack the means or ability to manage it on their own. We are dedicated to ensuring that those residents receive the assistance they need.
Stay tuned for more details on our next volunteer day. Together, we can rebuild and make our town stronger than ever.
Thank you once again to the Hendricks Family Foundation and to everyone who has been part of this journey. Let's keep the momentum going!

Dear Residents of the Town of Rock,
The recent tornado has left our community with significant damage, and we understand the difficulties many of you are facing.
As you may already be aware, the Town of Rock has engaged the Rock County Department of Public Works (DPW) to assist with removing tree and brush debris from the road right-of-way. This essential service is part of our commitment to restoring normalcy to our community. The debris removal team has successfully cleared Tracey Road and is nearing completion on Avalon Road.
DPW’s efforts will continue through Monday, July 8th. After this date, their team will need to resume their regular contracted duties, including road maintenance and construction throughout the county. As the debris removal progresses and concludes in your area, please note that once a section has been cleared, the team will not return for additional passes. After this point, we kindly ask that you refrain from placing any debris into the road right-of-way for public safety reasons. It is crucial to keep our roads, ditches, and visibility clear for everyone's safety. Additionally, please be reminded that any debris originating from personal property, including but not limited to trees and brush, is the responsibility of the property owner.
We recognize that the recovery process is complex and must be approached one step at a time. While debris removal is a critical first step, we know there is still much work to be done. The Town Board, along with Rock County Department of Public Works, and the Rock County Emergency Management Team, will continue to support our community’s recovery efforts. For further updates and information, please visit our Facebook page (Town of Rock, Rock County) and our website (www.townofrockwi.gov), which features a tornado recovery tab with volunteer information and other resources.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to rebuild and restore our community.

1)Roads cannot be cleared until utility work is completed.
2) During large-scale recovery efforts, road clearing equipment must have unobstructed access.
Debris Responsibility:
Property Owners: If trees and debris are on your property or in your yard, it is your responsibility to manage and clear them.
